Trauma Healing Intensive for Women

October 11th - 13th, 2024

This 3-day intensive is designed to help you identify your childhood wounds, nurture your inner child, and free yourself from unhealthy beliefs and patterns that follow a traumatic childhood.

The Trauma Healing Intensive utilizes the HOCI (Healing Our Core Issues) model, a developmental and relational trauma (DART) therapy that integrates numerous powerful therapeutic approaches to help you dig deep, find your true self, and discover a healing you likely didn't even think was possible.

The Trauma Healing Intensive is a group experience that provides a deep dive into the HOCI model, an opportunity to foster a deep connection with a nurturing community of like-minded women, and an intensive format that promotes accelerated progress on your healing journey.

The 4 Phases of the Trauma Healing Intensive:

1 - Educational Phase

During this stage, participants will receive education on the HOCI model, trauma, core underlying issues, emotions, and coping skills.

They will begin to grasp how their childhood experiences continue to impact their daily lives, often in ways they hadn't previously realized.

2 - Debriefing Phase

In this phase, with the help of the therapist,  participants will journey into their past to identify less-than-nurturing or traumatic or abusive childhood experiences and establish connections with the emotions and wounds they still carry with them today.

3 - Experiential Phase

Participants will be guided by the therapist through a series of imaginative processes where they can identify and initiate the healing of childhood relational wounds and often release painful emotions In this secure and supportive environment. They will address and heal the parts of their life story that require healing, gain insights into overcoming current obstacles to healing, release painful emotions, and reclaim personal empowerment.

4 - Ongoing Recovery and Empowerment Strategies

Participants will be provided with resources and knowledge on how to sustain their progress and integrate the growth and insights they have acquired into their everyday lives.

and it heals in relationships.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why an intensive?

You can heal in days. The traditional hour-per-week therapy format is appropriate for working on coping skills. However, trauma healing does not require the same slow, incremental approach. Trauma healing occurs rapidly with the right therapy. An intensive workshop allows participants to get 3 full days of uninterrupted time to process and engage with the work they are focusing on.

Why is this done in a group setting?

Healing really shines in a supportive community. We're naturally social creatures, and our early experiences with influential people help shape our beliefs and how we see the world. It's vital to get validation and support from others as we work on our core issues and shift our self-image in relation to the world. For this intensive, it's worth noting that it's a women-only experience, but we're planning to roll out a male-focused intensive in the near future to attend to everyone's needs.

What is the HOCI model?

Healing Our Core Issues is a developmental and relational trauma model based on the belief that individuals who have experienced suffering in their lives can receive relief, and healing and experience joy again. This, in turn, creates a new experience of their life that brings more joy and fulfillment and creates deeper connections and attachments in relationships.
